About Treasury

Treasury provides core economic and financial policy advice to the Queensland Government, as well as services to the community, to enhance the State's financial position and economic performance, supporting sustainable long-term economic growth.

Treasury assists the Government to manage the State's finances, including the preparing and oversight of the Budget to meet community needs.

We deliver services in the areas of revenue collection and administration, economic and statistical research, superannuation, motor accident and public liability insurance and gambling regulation.

We have a lead role to support the Queensland Government to be accountable and transparent in delivering services to the community. This is achieved through sound financial management policies, standards, systems, procedures and related reforms.
