Vision, mission and values

Treasury's vision is to improve the quality of life for all Queenslanders and contribute to the Government's key priorities for the community.

These priorities are outlined in the Charter of Social and Fiscal Responsibility.

Each Treasury office then contributes to the overall vision through individual vision, mission and values statements. Treasury's two statutory authorities, the Motor Accident Insurance Commission and Queensland Treasury Corporation also support the Treasury vision through individual vision, mission and values statements.

Government Superannuation Office

Vision
As a leading Australian superannuation fund, QSuper will be recognised for our contribution to the quality of each member’s life through low fees, real service, better knowledge and solid returns.
Values

Office of Economic and Statistical Research

Vision
Knowledge leaders for smarter decision making.
Mission
The Office of Economic and Statistical Research (OESR) provides information to support Government and community outcomes through our outputs of data, coordination, intelligence and research.
From these outputs, OESR contributes to the expansion of knowledge through:
  • attention to quality, timely and appropriate information
  • leadership in facilitating and co-ordinating standards and whole-of-Government activities
  • developing modelling and research capabilities and
  • developing competencies in information use, modelling and research across government, community and industry.

Office of Gaming Regulation

Vision
The Queensland Office of Gaming Regulation will be the world leading gambling regulatory authority.
Mission
Our mission is to:
  • regulate legal gambling in the community interest through providing a regulatory framework to ensure the probity and integrity of the industry
  • promote responsible gambling practices and
  • allocate funds from gambling revenue for community projects.

Office of Government Owned Corporations

Vision
High performing Queensland Goverment Owned Corporations (GOCs).
Mission
To manage the State’s interest in its GOC sector with a view to maximising returns on the State’s investment, building shareholder value and ensuring appropriate corporate governance.

Office of State Revenue

Vision

Mission
Our mission is to support the efforts of all Queensland Government public servants through the provision of innovative, standardised shared services.

Treasury Office

Vision and mission

Our vision is for Queensland's long term fiscal and economic performance to lead Australia. We strive for this by:

  • providing leadership in financial and economic policy development
  • advancing the performance of the Queensland economy to support growth and employment
  • maintaining the integrity of the State's finances in accordance with the Charter of Social and Fiscal Responsibility and
  • promoting value for money service delivery which meets Queenslanders' needs.

Motor Accident Insurance Commission

Vision
Our vision is to lead the way in the provision of insurance schemes and advice on insurance matters which meet the needs of the people and government of Queensland.

Our mission is to provide the most viable and equitable personal injury compensation scheme, including a Nominal Defendant scheme; the most efficient scheme for insuring and managing government risk; and timely and accurate advice to government on insurance.

Queensland Treasury Corporation

Our mission is to provide corporate treasury services to our customers and the State, by striving to understand our customers' current and future needs and by delivering solutions to meet those needs.
