Statistical services

Treasury, through the Office of Economic and Statistical Research (OESR), provides a number of services to support the statistical functions of the Queensland Government and other agencies.

Information dissemination
OESR provides a variety of information and data dissemination services. Data sources include Australian Bureau of Statistics, other Commonwealth agencies, State Government agencies and non-government providers.

Statistics
OESR provides statistical information categorised by subject. Where applicable, each subject area includes tables, briefs, databases, historical tables, links and publications. The subjects are as follows:

  • Demography
    Statistics related to population numbers, vital statistics and migration.
  • Society
    Statistics related to health, education, culture and social issues.
  • Economy
    Statistics related to labour, interstate and overseas trade, prices, finances and state and national accounts.
  • Industry and development
    Statistics related to primary and extractive industries, manufacturing and the provision of goods and services.
  • Environment
    Statistics related to the natural and built environment.
