About this annual report
The Queensland Treasury Annual Report 2005-06 is an integral part of our corporate governance framework and is one of the main tools we use to ensure we are accountable to the Queensland Parliament and the community about our activities.
This report details our achievements, performance and financial position for the 2005-06 financial year and links with our strategic plan, Ministerial Portfolio Statement for 2005-06 and the Queensland Government's priorities and outcomes. It also provides information on our future direction, people management, community engagement practices and corporate governance processes.
We have produced this report in accordance with the requirements detailed in the Financial Administration and Audit Act 1977 and the Financial Management Standard 1997. As part of our commitment to continual improvement, we have used feedback from the Institute of Internal Auditors (Queensland) and the Australasian Reporting Awards to produce this report.
