Set high-level Government objectives and priorities

'Set high-level Government objectives and priorities' depicts planning at the whole-of-Government level and corresponds to component 1 in the framework overview document.

Steps of the component

These steps feed into each agency's planning processes and into the budget (resource allocation) process.

Overview of the component

The Whole-of-Government planning diagram shows that external influences, such as community needs and inter-governmental relations, influence the planning process, including the development of the Government's objectives published in the Charter of Social and Fiscal Responsibility.
