2.4 Undertake ICT resources strategic planning
The agency's ICT resources strategic plan demonstrates links to delivering agency outputs and achieving Government's social and fiscal objectives and states how the agency intends to meet and fund its ICT resources needs.
Undertaking the ICT resources strategic plan also ensures that any strategies are aligned with whole-of-Government ICT direction.
Governance
Part 2 of the Financial Management Standard 1997 relates to planning processes. Accountable Officers and Statutory Bodies are accountable for ensuring that the agency's ICT resources strategic planning processes comply with the provisions of the legislation.
Timing
Agencies must develop operational plans every financial year.
