4.5 Prepare and finalise Budget and other documentation (Agencies)

While Treasury has overall responsibility for the production of Budget documentation, agencies play a vital role in their preparation. Agencies' contributions range from providing data for inclusion in the documentation, to preparing the entire Ministerial Portfolio Statement for their agency.

Treasury provides agencies with templates and guidelines for agencies to complete for those Budget papers that rely on agencies' input. These include:

Governance

The Under Treasurer will seek input from each Accountable Officer in the preparation of these statements.

Timing

Timing will vary, depending on the timing of the Budget.

Further information

Treasury will issue guidelines and, where necessary templates, to agencies each year.
