Interim Response to Commission of Audit

The Queensland Government's Interim Response to the Commission of Audit was tabled by the Treasurer and Minister for Trade in State Parliament on 11 July 2012. It is a response to the Commission of Audit Interim Report released in June 2012.

The response document charts a course back to stabilising debt levels, returning the budget to a fiscal balance by 2014-15 and regaining Queensland's AAA credit rating. It also contains revisions of the forward estimates and updates to the State's fiscal strategy. The Commission's specific proposals for fiscal repair, in terms of revenue, expenditure and other measures, will be considered by the Government in the context of the 2012-13 State Budget being delivered on 11 September 2012.
