Treasury monitors the performance of the national, state and regional labour markets. Analysis of labour market trends assists the development of Queensland Government labour market policies and employment objectives.
Labour market information is available as part of Treasury publications:
- Queensland Economic Update (monthly) - a brief summary and analysis of issues related to selected economic and financial indicators, including commentary on the latest trends in the labour market and analysis of the performance of the Queensland economy in general.
- Queensland Economic Review (quarterly) - a detailed overview of Queensland's economic performance featuring analysis and commentary on changes in employment in aggregate and by industry as well as changes in the number of job vacancies. A wide range of economic and financial topics and indicators relating to the international, national and Queensland economies are also covered in the publication.
- Annual Economic Report - detailed information on the recent performance of the major components of the Queensland economy and the factors, both external and internal, which influence that performance. Includes a particular focus on Queensland's labour market performance.
