Financial management framework

For further information

Treasury, through the Financial Management Branch, is the custodian of the financial management framework. The Queensland Government's financial management framework forms the basis for decisions on planning, resource allocation and management, monitoring and reporting within the Queensland public sector.

The framework provides a structure within which to better understand the linkages between planning, resource allocation and management, monitoring and reporting. The overview of the framework can be read horizontally to demonstrate how whole-of-Government processes flow from one step to the next and similarly to see how agency processes flow. The overview can also be read vertically in order to understand how whole-of-Government processes flow into agency processes.

The Financial Management Framework is intended to provide an easy reference point for people working in the Queensland Public Sector seeking guidance and documentation on planning, resource allocation, and management and reporting.
