Statutory Bodies Financial Arrangements

Treasury's role as the Queensland Government's financial and economic adviser incorporates the development and monitoring of financial arrangements of the State's statutory bodies. Further details on the powers of a statutory body to undertake various financial arrangements are contained in the Statutory Bodies Financial Arrangements Act 1982, Statutory Bodies Financial Arrangements Regulation 1997 and the Operational Guidelines to the Act.

The Statutory Bodies Financial Arrangements Act 1982 provides for the efficient and effective management of the powers of Statutory Bodies to enter into financial arrangements. The Act should be read in conjunction with the Statutory Bodies Financial Arrangements Regulation 1997.

Operational guidelines

The Operational Guidelines provide an outline of the impact of the Statutory Bodies Financial Arrangements Act on the operations of statutory bodies. The guidelines incorporate changes to the Act which came into effect in May 2003.
