Trade Practices Act

Treasury is responsible for coordinating and providing policy advice on proposed changes to the competitive conduct provisions (Part IV) of the Trade Practices Act.

Queensland Government departments and agencies are responsible for ensuring they comply with the provisions of the Trade Practices Act. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) website contains useful information for departments and agencies seeking to ensure their compliance programs meet ACCC expectations.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission is responsible for Administering the Trade Practices Act.
