Toowoomba Second Range Crossing

The Australian and Queensland Governments are pleased to announce the shortlist for the next phase of the procurement process for the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing. Three consortia have been shortlisted and will now have the opportunity to work with Government on detailed design proposals for the long-awaited second range crossing.

Government invites private industry to develop world-class health precinct

Treasurer Tim Nicholls has announced that the Queensland Government is calling for registrations of interest to develop a world-class health precinct at the Royal Children's Hospital site at Herston and adjoining areas, when it becomes vacant in late 2014 following the planned opening of the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital.

Contracts announced for whole of Government banking services

Following a competitive procurement process and contract negotiations, the Queensland Government has entered into new arrangements for its banking and payment services. The State has finalised contracts with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (transactional banking and corporate purchasing card services), American Express (corporate purchasing card services - business travel account) and Australia Post (agency revenue collection services).

Projects Queensland continues to lead
1 William St delivery

Construction of the landmark 1 William Street office tower is the first step in realising the vision of a new world city precinct, Queen's Wharf Brisbane. The tower is funded and developed by Cbus Property (with 50 per cent co-owner ISPT) and constructed by Brookfield Multiplex. The development is due for completion in 2016 and expected to support up to 1,000 jobs on and off site.
