State Budget
The 2007-08 State Budget was handed down on Tuesday, 5 June 2007 and focussed on delivering to all Queenslanders by providing record investment in education, health, child safety, water, infrastructure, police and disability services.
This year's budget will deliver on a number of priorities, such as:

increased investment in Queensland's education system to modernise and refurbish the State's school facilities and vocational and educational training system
-
improved health care and strengthened services to the community as part of the Queensland Government's commitment to the Health Action Plan
-
increased investment in Queensland's capital works budget, setting it to top $10 billion for the first time in 2006-07 and making it the country's biggest capital works program per capita
-
additional funding as part of the Blueprint for the Bush to protect the environment for a sustainable future and to manage urban growth and building Queensland's regions.
