Gambling research and education
Gambling research undertaken in Queensland is designed to understand gambling activity and to explore effective prevention, protection and treatment and support measures. The Research Grants program is offered on an annual basis to applicants whose proposal contributes to gambling related research in Queensland and to the making of effective gambling policy.
Learning activities in the three curriculum modules and associated interactive activities assist both primary and secondary school students to develop critical knowledge, skills and attitudes. These allow them to make informed decisions about gambling now and in the future.
Visit the Responsible Gambling section of the Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing website for information regarding the responsible gambling research programs, research grants and publications as well as curriculum modules and interactive student resources for gambling education.
