Stamp duty exemption
The Queensland Government, under an administrative arrangement,
provides not-for-profit community organisations with an exemption
from insurance duty on public liability insurance, where the
period of insurance commences, and the premium is paid, on
of after 1 October 2002. More information and a copy of the

Public liability insurance advice for not-for-profit organisations
To assist not-for-profit organisations, the Queensland Government has developed a Public Liability Fact Sheet which includes information on tort law reform, risk management, duty exemptions on premiums and insurance price monitoring. It also includes a range of frequently asked questions and contact details for Aon Risk Services who have been appointed by the Government to provide insurance advice to not-for-profit organisations.
