Industrial Relations Public Sector partners with agencies in planning, negotiating, arbitrating and finalising enterprise bargaining agreements and determinations. It develops policies, directives, circulars and guidance notes on industrial relations matters, and manages the industrial relations arrangements between government and government-owned corporations.
State Government Entities Certified ‘Core’ Agreement 2015

Contracting-out of Services Policy
The Queensland Government Policy on the Contracting-out of Services has been released as part of the Government’s commitment to restoring fairness for its workforce.
The policy applies to all Queensland Government agencies (including departments, public service offices, statutory authorities and other government entities as defined under the Public Service Act 2008) but does not apply to Government Owned Corporations. The use of contractors by GOCs is governed by the 2015 Government Owned Corporations Wages and Industrial Relations Policy principles.
Employment Security Policy
The Queensland Government has restored this employment security policy for government agencies as part of its commitment to restoring fairness for its workforce.
The policy applies to all permanent employees of Queensland Government agencies (including departments, public service offices, statutory authorities and other government entities as defined under the Public Service Act 2008).
Union Encouragement Policy
The Queensland Government has made a commitment to encourage union membership amoung its employees.
The active cooperation of all managers and supervisors is necessary to ensure that the government can honour this commitment.
