Consultation: Subordinate legislation to support the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2017

A number of provisions of the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2017 (LHL Act) delegate to regulations to provide further details about the licensing scheme. The Queensland Government is seeking feedback to inform the development of these regulations. Two consultation papers have been prepared to assist feedback.

  • Consultation Paper 1 presents treatments for more operational elements underpinning the scheme.
  • Consultation Paper 2 discusses scoping treatments to help clarify the scope of the licensing scheme. Please note that the Queensland Parliament has endorsed a broad scheme applying to all industry sectors and occupations. Regulations are intended to help clarify the scope for limited and specific arrangements that are not commonly understood to be labour hire.

You are invited to provide detailed feedback on the proposals outlined in the consultation papers. Feedback is also sought on any other proposals considered necessary or desirable in relation to the implementation of the labour hire licensing scheme.

Please provide written feedback using Template 1 to respond to Consultation Paper 1, and Template 2 to respond to Consultation Paper 2, via:
