Workplace Health and Safety Queensland

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) improves work health and safety in Queensland and helps reduce the risk of workers being killed or injured on the job. This office enforces the Work Health and Safety Act 2011, investigates workplace fatalities and serious injuries, prosecutes breaches of legislation, and educates employees and employers on their legal obligations.

WHSQ focuses on being a facilitator or enabler that collaborates with businesses and workers to improve safety outcomes and business productivity.
