Leading Trans-Tasman semi-trailer maker MaxiTRANS established a new, state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing facility at Carole Park in Ipswich. In September 2021, MaxiTRANS trailer business was acquired by Australian Trailer Solutions Group (ATSG).
Part of Australia’s largest heavy vehicle manufacturing precinct, ATSG MaxiTRANS is further increasing local advanced manufacturing capability. Thanks to support from the Queensland Government, the company will double its workforce over 5 years, creating up to 70 new jobs.
As the largest manufacturer of heavy-duty transport trailers in Australia and New Zealand combined, and a leading provider of parts and service, ATSG MaxiTRANS plays a vital role in the transport of essential products from food to medical equipment.
As well as creating more jobs for the company, the new facility offers exciting opportunities for local TAFEs and universities to work with ATSG MaxiTRANS to provide specialised in-house training and skills development programs.
