In partnership with the Queensland Government, Marquis Macadamias is expanding its Bundaberg facility, increasing processing capacity and creating 40 new jobs.
The $13.3 million expansion project will increase the processing capacity of Marquis from 12,000 to 30,000 tonnes, allowing the company to get more Queensland macadamias onto shelves and into households right around the world. As part of the expansion, Marquis is building a new cold storage warehouse, specialised bulk drying and packing facilities, and a solar farm to help power their operations.
Marquis is one of only two macadamia processing companies globally using Napasol technology to deliver a certified Log5 pasteurised product, to ensure the safety and quality of its nut products.
As the world’s largest macadamia grower and processor, Marquis supplies its nut products to 45 countries across five continents.
