Inclusive recruitment

Treasury is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects Queensland’s communities. By attracting, recruiting and retaining such a workforce, our department is better able to support the government in advancing its priorities.

Our principles for inclusive recruitment

Three key principles underpin Treasury’s proactive approach to inclusive recruitments across our department:

  • providing flexibility to deliver a more inclusive recruitment process – accommodating reasonable adjustments and enabling applicants to demonstrate their capability by removing barriers to ensure applicants can be assessed and compared fairly on merit
  • recognising every individual has unique experiences and strengths – while acknowledging there are some common recruitment practices, Treasury understands there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to recruitment
  • ensuring an applicant’s inclusive recruitment experience matches their experience within our department.
