A multi-million-dollar expansion at John Dee’s meat processing facility in Warwick has positioned the company for future growth.
John Dee is a 4th-generation, 100% family-owned business, and the oldest single-family owned meat processor in Australia.
A new regional cold store which includes the installation of state-of-the-art automation technologies is helping to transform John Dee into one of Queensland’s leading processors of premium beef. The facility allows the company to store, retrieve and consign Australia’s leading beef brands direct from the facility to customers across the globe.
With support from the Queensland Government, the project was purpose-designed to deliver the required capacity and technology John Dee needs to sustainably increase processing capacity at its Warwick facility. This will assist the company to create more employment opportunities on the Southern Downs long into the future.
