Beenleigh Steel Fabrications’ (BSF) new $4.2 million facility at a greenfield site in Berrinba has taken shape thanks to funding support from the Queensland Government.
BSF steel is at the core of major developments such as Queen’s Wharf and Cross River Rail, as well as legendary structures including the Gabba and North Queensland Stadium.
The completed facility will provide BSF with double the floor space and production capacity, creating more jobs for the Logan region.
The new jobs include the creation of at least 59 positions over the next 5 years and up to 8 apprentices and trainees each year in boilermaking, rigging, dogging, machine operation and computer skills.
Director Anthony Stoeckert tells us how the expansion project will benefit Beenleigh Steel’s business
